What a cute idea for small indoor gardens as well as outdoor gardens. And who doesn’t like fairies? I, for one, could use a little more magic in my life. And how much fun for guests to discover?
I didn’t even realize that this was a thing – but it so is. There are stores dedicated to selling miniature lawn chairs, gazebos, wheelbarrows – you name it, they sell it. Sort of like a living doll house or mini train village with live plants.
Create your own in any container – broken pots are a good start. I like the way a fairy garden in a broken pot looks like a peek into a secret world. Use small plants like moss, dainty succulents and flowers. Tuck some fairy-sized furniture under the plants, surround with a fairy-sized fence and decorate with fairy-sized birdbaths, arbors, stepping stones, etc.
Putting this one on my to do list, but it will have to wait – I’ve got a people-sized garden to create first. Athough – I could always begin with one little fairy chair in a pot of parsley…. Like any gardening project, this can grow with your plans. Begin with a simple prop and add as you go.
